Spurs vs Saints

Tottenham are set to face Southampton this evening in what will be interim head coach Ryan Mason’s first game in charge of the club following the sacking of Jose Mourinho on Monday.

Southampton have been in appalling form since the start of the year and are in 14th place and are looking down rather than up. They exited the FA Cup on the weekend after losing their semi-final 1-0 to Leicester without even having a shot on goal.

Spurs on the other hand are in 7th place and a win tonight will see them pull level on points with Liverpool in 6th and only 2 points behind Chelsea in 4th.

Mason, whose team will face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday, has announced his team for tonight’s game.

There are three changes from the draw with Everton last Friday. Harry Kane is injured, Moussa Sissoko is benched and Joe Rodon misses out altogether. In come Gareth Bale, Giovani Lo Celso and Lucas Moura.

Tottenham fans are also taking the opportunity to vent their frustrations with Daniel Levy and ENIC over the Super League debacle.
