Perez speaks out on Haaland & Mbappe
Real Madrid’s main concerns will be explaining their actions regarding the now quickly dismantled Super League.
However, one way to appease the fans may certainly lie in the signing of a ‘Galactico’ this summer.
One such player is Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland. The Norwegian has been linked with a move and recently, when speaking about the Super League, club president Florentino Perez was asked about the 20-year-old in addition to Kylian Mbappe.
“The fans always ask me to buy Mbappe,” said Perez. “My answer? I say: don’t worry… the truth is that he is a good player, yes.
“I’ve never talked to Mbappe. At least now, I don’t know what’s going to happen to his contract with PSG.
“Haaland’s father has visited our training ground Valdebebas, yes. Everyone has always had the same reaction: never seen anything like this.

“Haaland and Mbappe are two excellent players but what [Lionel] Messi and [Cristiano] Ronaldo have done is incredible.”
Haaland’s family and agent took a tour of the clubs interested in his signature so it isn’t massive news that they visited Madrid.
However, with the pressure on Perez to save face, the sanctioning of a deal for Haaland may be more necessary than ever.
Dortmund target Edouard
It appears Borussia Dortmund however have already identified their replacement with Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard top of their list.
The 23-year-old has scored 16 goals in 26 Scottish Premiership performances and scored an additional two more in the Europa League group stages.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for the French striker with both the futures of Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah unsure with the duo having just a year left on their deals.

Should Dortmund lose Haaland in the summer, Edouard would present as a continuation of a long-term option for the club in the striking role.
Dortmund have had a history of signing young French players such as Ousmane Dembele, Dan-Axel Zagadou and Abdou Diallo.
His physicality and pace would mean the style of forward wouldn’t change all that much however a loss in quality the size of Haaland will be difficult shoes to fill whoever steps into them.
