Man United reportedly working on a deal for Atalanta winger Amad Traore

Man United reportedly working on a deal for Atalanta winger Amad Traore

101 great goals - 2 weeks ago

With less than a week of the current transfer window remaining, Manchester United are said to be aiming to frash out a deal for Amad Traore.

Atalanta youth product

Amad Traore is an 18-year-old winger who has come up through the youth ranks of Italian outfit, Atalanta.

Despite his tender years, Traore has notched up a numbers of appearances for Atalantas youth sides, scoring 23 and assisting six in 41 outings for the clubs under-17 side.

Such impressive exploits eventually saw the youngster handed his senior Atalanta debut last term.

Traore would come off the bench for the final 13 minutes of Atalantas Serie A clash with Udinese back in October of 2019.

Atalanta would go on to win that clash 7-1 with Traore finding the back of the net once.

In doing so, he etched his name into the Serie A history books, becoming the youngest player, at 17 years and 109 days old, to score on their Serie A debut.

Man United eyeing Traore

Despite his impressive debut, the Africans first-team minutes have been very limited.

In fact, he notched just a further two sub appearances across 2019/20 and is yet to feature in the current campaign.

Despite this, the winger looks to be attracting interest from one of Europes top clubs.

Said side comes in the former of Manchester United, with the Manchester Evening News claiming that:

Manchester United are working on a deal to sign Atalanta winger Amad Traore before transfer deadline day.

No potential fee is mentioned in the report by the MEN, but they do state Traore will not come cheap.

Furthermore, despite Traore being a right-winger, the MEN add that the Atalanta youth is not seen as a Jadon Sancho alternative.
