Wilson set to leave Bournemouth
After five seasons in the Premier League, Bournemouth are now set to be plying their trade in the Championship for the forthcoming campaign.
The Cherries relegation has already begun to spark huge change at the club with Eddie Howe stepping down as boss and Nathan Ake making the move to Manchester City.
The outgoings at the Vitality are not expected to stop there though, with Callum Wilson and Joshua King also tipped to move on in the summer.
Wilson joined Bournemouth from Coventry in 2014 and has since gone on to cement himself as one of the clubs deadliest attackers.
All told, the Englishman has notched 67 goals and 30 assists for Bournemouth. And whilst the south coast outfit struggled a fair bit this term, Wilson was still able to garner eight goals and three assists in 35 Premier League games.
Newcastle & Villa linked with Wilson
So, with Bournemouth now down and the 28-year-old a proven Premier League goalscorer, reports that Wilson could be set for a swift return to the English top-flight should come as little surprise.
All of Tottenham, West Ham and Newcastle have previously been linked with the Bournemouth hitman.
But it is the latter of those outfits who look to be taking the most interest in Wilson.
In fact, the Daily Mail have, this weekend, gone as far as to claim that Wilson is Steve Bruces top summer transfer target.
It is added that Bruce may have as little as £30m to spend this summer, but with around £10m previously touted as the fee needed for Spurs to secure Wilson, you would imagine £30m would be more than enough to land the striker.
However, the Magpies could yet face more competition for Wilson with the Telegraph claiming on Saturday that Bournemouth are considering a deal for Aston Villas Scott Hogan, which could see Wilson move in the opposite direction.
