Arsenal & Everton linked with moves to sign Wilfried Zaha
Rumours are getting louder that Wilfried Zaha will again try to leave Crystal Palace this summer.
27-year-old Zaha is under contract with the Eagles until 2023.
Zaha’s form dipped last season as he scored 4 goals and chipped in with 5 assists in the Premier League.
Last summer, Zaha tried to force an exit from Selhurst Park by handing in a transfer request. However, the Eagles managed to retain the forward.
This weekend, the Star have suggested that Arsenal could sign Zaha this summer.
Star reporter Alex Wood claimed that Zaha is an “option for Arsenal if the price is right”.
At the same time, the reporter has claimed that “Palace are now resigned to losing wantaway forward Zaha.” Readers are also told:
Zaha’s asking price is a huge sticking point for both Arsenal and the Toffees.
Palace will hold out for at least £50m despite a tough post-pandemic transfer market.
While the Star also name-dropped Everton as a possible suitor for Zaha, those rumours have been watered down on the recent ‘Gwlad Tidings’ podcast from the Athletic.
While reporters Greg O’Keeffe and Paddy Boyland have confirmed that Everton have “some” interest in Zaha, they believe it’s unlikely that the Toffees will manage to sign him from Crystal Palace.
Nevertheless, Everton fans were told that the club would like to sign a winger before next season.

Back in June, Athletic reporter Dom Fifield looked into the likelihood that Zaha leaves Crystal Palace this summer.
Speaking on The Ornstein & Chapman Podcast, Dom Fifield has outlined his reasons why Zaha is likely to remain with the Eagles next season:
(Nothing has) really changed to Palaces outlook towards Zaha. To them, he remains the principal asset in the setup.
Hes still got three more years of contract it goes until 2023.
To them, hes worth what staying in the division is worth 80 to 100 million pounds.
No club is really going to be offering 80 million pound up front which is what Palace would be demanding.
