Mugshots of Maury Elliott
Rape suspect Maury Elliott says the two teenagers and woman who accused him of sex attacks are lying, and says any contact with them was consensual (Pictures: Santa Fe County Detention Center)

A suspected serial rapist whose alleged victims include a 15 year-old girl insists he’s a ‘player’ not a pervert.

Maury Elliott, 23, says his encounters with two girls aged 15 and 17 as well as a 23 year-old women were all consensual.

The age of consent in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where the alleged attacks took place, is 16.

Speaking to the Santa Fe New Mexican from a jailhouse phone, Elliott said: ‘At this point in my life, I dont even know what constitutes rape anymore.’

He also claimed the charges against him were nothing more than a witch-hunt and added: ‘I’m going to be the enemy. Period.’

Elliott also claimed his alleged victims could have removed themselves from his company at any time – and said they came onto him.

He also denied claims from all three alleged victims that they believe drinks given to them by Elliott had been spiked with drugs.

Elliott was first arrested on a rape charge last October after the 15 year-old girl told police what she claims he did to her.

The alleged pervert reportedly attacked the 27 year-old four days later outside a bar in downtown Santa Fe.

He is then said to have targeted the 17 year-old girl six days after the second attack.

Elliott was charged over a second set of allegations on January 16 this year, and with a third rape on January 22.

He was freed on $2,500 bail and moved to Las Vegas before the second and third charges were filed against him, and claims he didn’t realize he had to appear at a court in Santa Fe on Thursday.

That saw an arrest warrant issued for Elliott, with cops now working to try and track him down.

A judge allowed him to be released from an electronic tag last month, with Elliott telling the court of his plans to move to Las Vegas.

He denies multiple sex charges, and is due back in court at a later date.
