Buford Whisenant and Jennifer Nash
Buford Whisenant, left, has been jailed for breaching probation he and co-defendant Jennifer Nash, right, received for sadistically abusing a child (Pictures: Wichita County Jail)

A sadist who punished a child by forcing him to eat nothing but ramen noodles has been jailed for allegedly breaching his probation. Buford Whisenant, 41, was locked-up over claims he ignored the terms of his plea deal, which saw him spared jail as long as he avoided drugs, and did not live with co-abuser Jennifer Nash, 44.

Whisenant, from Wichita Falls in Texas, was re-arrested earlier this week. He is also said to have tortured his 14 year-old victim by beating him with a bar of soap wrapped in a pillowcase, and by shooting the child with a pellet gun.

The youngster, whose relationship to Whisenant and Nash has not been outlined, would be blasted with pellets if he looked away from a line of duct tape stuck onto a door – another punishment dreamt up by Whisenant.

Whisenant would make the boy stare at the tape while holding cans of peas and moving his arms up and down, in a bid to further hurt the child.

The child abuser also forced the teenager to do air squats and push-ups, and would blast the boy with the pellet gun or hit him with soap when he was forced to stop because of tiredness.

Whisenant’s cruelty was exposed after his victim’s bruises were spotted by staff at his school, who contacted police. He and Nash subsequently admitted the abuse – but did not share a motive for their cruelty.

The pair struck a plea deal in October 2019, which saw them admit child abuse and reckless injury to a child. Both received probation, with Whisenant ordered to complete three years, and Nash two, KJTL reported.

Nash died last year of undisclosed causes, with Whisenant said to have further breached his probation while using marijuana and crystal meth while living with her.
