Weekly coronavirus deaths hit highest level in six months
Weekly coronavirus deaths have continued to rise in the UK and have now reached levels last seen in May, according to the Office for national Statistics.
New figures show there were 2,466 deaths involving coronavirus registered in the week ending November 13 in England and Wales.
This is the first time since May that the weekly figure is above 2,000. It is also up from the 1,937 deaths seen in the week to November 6 – a jump of 27%.
