As much as we like the superheroes that we're used to, like Iron Man, Batman, and Spider-man, there's always some space left for imagination to think of new ones. And who's more qualified to imagine new heroes than children? And thus, children from various countries were given a task that would be daunting for most adults: to create new superheroes. And they answered the call to the challenge, just like superheroes themselves.

Children and superheroes have a reciprocal relationship, a bond of sorts that goes together like salt and pepper. Children have an ability to create unique and original things from their unlimited imagination, and they frequently draw inspiration from the heroes of comic books. Kids are also inspired by heroic deeds, and dream of becoming heroes themselves. Superheroes, on the other hand, would probably be nothing without the children who believe in them the most, that buy their comic books, talk their parents into watching movies with them, and buy their toys.

So, the "best kids stuff" put two and two together and created the best stuff for the kids, by the kids. They hired a professional illustrator to recreate the original superheroes that the children had imagined. You can judge the result yourself, but what's important is to reflect the evolution of what children find inspiring nowadays. It's interesting how children think about the issues that we're facing today: some heroes respond to health crises, others to environmental and ecological disasters, and some are just so original that they force you to think "why wasn't this thought of before?" The Atomic Age gave us The Atom. The Coronavirus Age? Rosie the Rainbow Sparkle Covid Nurse! When she chants Rainbow cat power! her cat Shadow shoots rainbows at all the naughty Covid, transferring it to Rosies hair bow for safe storage. Rosie also has a dragon called Spark, mostly for good company.

#4 Vanessa By Viola (Aged 11, Ukraine)

Do you ever secretly wish for a superhero to come to save you? Keep wishing! Vanessa can read minds and uses her antennae to detect when good people need helping and bad people need stopping. She might not be able to fly, but Vanessa can jump really far, and her coterie of small fairies and elves are never far behind her.

¡Vamos! Idemo! ! Whatever language you use, theres no more thrilling call to action than lets go! This is the catchphrase of Andrey, 6yo Nadyas unpretentious flying superhero. Tune in each week to see Andrey yell superpower lets go! at his normcore sidekick, Mike.

#6 Sea Rescuer By Elias (Aged 9, Greece)

Like a subaquatic Batman, Sea Rescuer uses gadgets and wit to rescue people instead of relying on supernatural powers. Gadgets include powerful arm and leg flippers and a light-emitting disk on his chest for seeing in the dark or stormy weather. Despite his name, Sea Rescuer is willing to diversify into ocean, river, and lake rescue.

#7 Sheep-Man By Wyatt (Aged 5, England)

Somewhere in England, a mysterious farmer grows a coat of wool at a moments notice to become Sheep-Man! Sheep-Man roams the fields on his Super Tractor (sheep dont fly) with sidekick Lamb-Girl, protecting farm animals by shooting wool at aliens and baddies. Origin story? Bitten by a sheep.

#8 Swashbuckler Man (Super Espadachín) By Martin (Aged 8, Spain)

Swashbuckler Mans golden sabers are this masked heros special feature. If he throws them, they come back, and they have the power to surround Super Espadachíns enemies with power rays! While he cant fly, Swashbuckler Man is very good at jumping and can spin and tumble in the air to gain an advantage over even the biggest of foes.

#9 Super Ice (Super Hielo) By Dante (Aged 5, Argentina)

Another very timely hero, Super Ices stated objective is to put out forest fires by flying above and shooting water bombs. This is especially brave when you consider hes made of ice! Thankfully, Super Hielo can recharge and make himself giant by drinking river water. Super Ices four-legged friend is a giant ice dog who shoots icy x-rays from his eyes.

#10 Crypton By Jacob (Aged 10, Philippines)

Who needs a sidekick when you can clone yourself? Crypton wears green stormproof spandex and can multiply himself to help more people at once. And thanks to his teleporter watch, he neednt waste money on multiple airfares to get him to where hes needed. Crypton uses his superpowers to heal people and nature, getting rid of the hurt and making the air smell better.
